The disctance between neck vertebrae and the shoulders, measured in a straight line when standing erect.

If you place your hand in the lowest part of your neck, you can feel a node, this is the "neck vertebrae. The shoulders  is normally in level with armpit. Follow the shape of your upper back when you measure. The location of these measures can vary a little from person to person. Measure exactly and do not add anything.
